Are you interested in becoming a trained volunteer and advocate to help community members with immigration questions and concerns? Centro's new Access to Justice Navigators program provides training for individuals to serve as "navigators." These navigators will assist individuals throughout the community and the northwest Chicago region by helping them understand their rights, access free legal assistance, and even accompany them to appointments.
Navigators must be bilingual (Spanish & English). A small stipend is available for navigators involved in community outreach events and other related community presentations from January through June of 2025.
Individuals interested in learning more are invited to attend the Navigator Information Session at Centro's main office, located at 1885 Lin Lor Lane in Elgin, on December 5 from 4:30 to 6:00 PM, or can contact Maria Borrero at mborrero@centrodeinformacion.org.
