Position Summary:
Provides comprehensive, culturally and linguistically responsive case management services to
immigrants, refugees, and their families. Conducts client assessments and provides information and
referrals, crisis intervention, advocacy, and ongoing support to help clients overcome barriers and
successfully integrate into the community. Provides bilingual (English/Spanish) services through
individual appointments and community outreach activities while collaborating with internal staff and
community partners to ensure coordinated, client-centered services.

Centro de Información is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with offices in Elgin, Carpentersville,
and Hanover Park. The mission of Centro de Información is to empower the Latino and immigrant
community to integrate effectively. Centro provides immigration and naturalization services,
employment assistance, emergency food pantry services, educational seminars, public benefits
outreach and advocacy, and other supportive services.
Centro has been serving the community since 1972 and assists more than 7,000 clients annually.
All office locations are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position
requires occasional participation in community events, which may take place during weekday
evenings or weekends.

Duties / Functions:
● Provide comprehensive case management services to clients by conducting intakes, assessing
client needs, developing service plans, and providing ongoing follow-up and support.
● Respond to client crises by assessing immediate needs, providing crisis intervention, offering
appropriate referrals, and connecting individuals and families with available community
resources and services.
● Provide advocacy and support to help clients navigate social service systems, including
healthcare, housing, employment, immigration, education, and other community-based
resources.
● Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of client assessments, case notes,
referrals, services provided, and outcomes in agency and project databases.
● Prepare and maintain program reports and collect outcome data to support program evaluation
and funder requirements.
● Plan, coordinate, schedule, and promote workshops and community outreach events.
● Establish and strengthen collaborative relationships with community organizations, service
providers, and community partners to expand resources and support for clients.
● Represent Centro de Información at funder-sponsored meetings, community events, and
partner activities.
● Participate in agency outcome measurement efforts by ensuring the completion and collection
of required surveys, postcards, and program evaluation tools.
● Coordinate with Centro’s staff team to provide wrap-around services and ensure
comprehensive support for clients at the assigned office location.
● Support the Immigrant Welcoming Center Team and contribute to the achievement of
Centro’s mission, strategic goals, and program objectives.
● Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
● Some college required
● One year of experience working or volunteering in a non-profit human services agency
● preferred.
● Bilingual Spanish / English (writing, speaking, reading) and bicultural
● General knowledge of community resources and the Latino community.
● Commitment to Centro’s mission and values.
● Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with excellent attention to
detail.
● Ability to maintain accurate, confidential, and detailed client records.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
● Experience with Charity Tracker is a plus.
● Schedule flexibility and own transportation
